bats of Namibia (3’50’’) - Duet with John Godfrey (E. Guitar + Max/MSP Patch)
Original field recording details: 01/07/2019, Etosha National Park, Namibia.
This is extracted from a stereo recording @ 48/24 made using a Batbox Duet, which is a duel mode bat detector that records both heterodyne (R) and frequency division (L). I made this recording at dusk @ a waterhole just outside Etosha. As the animals drank the bats moved in.

John Godfrey is a performer, composer and senior lecturer in Music at University College Cork (Ireland). He is a co-founder of Icebreaker; a founding member of Crash Ensemble and the founder of Quiet Music Ensemble. He has performed and been broadcast worldwide and has released many CDs.
